My academic journey
Born and raised in Minnesota, I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Dallas and attended medical school and residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. I followed this with a fellowship at the Beck Institute of Cognitive Therapy and Research in Philadelphia. I am board-certified in psychiatry.
Since 2011, I have served on the faculty of Harvard Medical School, where I teach a weekly class on cognitive-behavioral therapy to psychiatrists-in-training at Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
